Buoyancy of Life

Recently, I embarked on a much-needed vacation aboard a cruise ship from Port Canaveral. As we docked in the Bahamas, I chose to remain on board, immersing myself in the search for inspiration for my blog. My thoughts fluctuated through my mind as I contemplated how a vast body of water enables such a magnificent vessel to glide gracefully from destination to destination.

The mechanics of sailing is definitely visible as this vast ocean allows the simple act of bouyance. The property of bouyance is the power of a liquid like water to exert an upward force when an object is placed in it.

Likewise, this ship manuvers through the ocean as the ocean exerts enough force to keep it afloat. The gracefulness of sailing this enormous cruiseliner with thousands of individuals aborad is breathtaking.

Comparably, the human life involves such intricates of manuvers when you begin to ponder our existence in this enormous world. As the ocean allows the simple element of bouyance to carry this enormous vessel with easy, likewise, our Father carries our weighed life effortless. Yet, the only requirement that we must exercise is trust. If we can learn the art of trust as the captain trusts bouyance when sailing a ship, we can live weighless during the course of our life journey in this world. If the captain trusts bouyance to sail from destination to destination, we too can exercise trust when life becomes unbearable and too demanding from day to day.

As believers, we must acknowledge our Father and allow Him to exercise bouyance in our lives when unbearable forces try to drown us. Remember God's ultimate plan will unfold so exercise trust.

Example of Bouyance of Trust -

Unbeknownst to us was the need for two indentations (birth certificate and driver's license) to pass through U.S. Customs if you had no passport. This fact became known the morning of boarding the ship. Panic set in among the family members, thinking that all the planning for us to accompany the Patriarch and Matriarch on their curise had stopped because they had failed to have their birth certificates. My wife, as usual, began to pray, and her niece remembered that she could secure these documents at the local health department, two blocks from her residence. Therefore, they acquired two sets of the necessary documents before boarding, and they easily passed through U.S. Customs.

By allowing the Bouyance of Trust, God's plan unfolded right before our eyes. Even in the midst of the panic syndrome, the Bouyance of Trust enabled God to fulfill the original plan.

Our cruise experience culminated when the Matriarch and Patriarch participated in the Love & Marriage game, enabling more memories for future generations.

As believers, we must acknowledge our Father and rest in His buoyancy daily, especially when unbearable forces threaten to drown us. Let us remember the Bouyance of Trust in that God's ultimate plan will unfold beautifully in our journey of life.
