Don’t Lose Heart

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

II Corinthians 4:16 NKJV

When God created Man, He actually used dirt from the Earth. In other words, God used the substance of dirt or clay to mold a being after His likeness, and with His breath Man became a living vibrant being. Yet, this verse above reminds us of our ultimate destiny with death. The timing of our transformation to dirt becomes our destiny after birth. Daily, we are susceptible to a natural dissolvement. For example, stirring sugar into water is an example of dissolving. The sugar is the solute, while the water is the solvent. Since God created man from the Earth. Then humans are the solute, and Earth is solvent. Just as sugar quickly dissolves in water; as soon as the birth of man, he begins his demise back to Earth. Our natural bodies will eventually dissolve or decay despite all the synthetic or natural substances you may intake into your body. You may extend your life a few years the most but never forever, because no such Earthy substance can prevent the inevitable death of a human. Therefore, we all realize that as humans we have an appointed time to die. Yet, within each of us God placed a soul or an inward existence that belongs to HIM. So this verse reminds us to remove the sadness of watching your body dissolves as a solute back to Earth, but focus on that inward connection with your Creator. A daily renewal of connecting with God comes in the form of awareness that your existence extends beyond this limitation of your natural state. Remember within each of us is a gravitational pull for a heavenly home. Instead of losing heart over the imminent dissolution of your natural state. You should focus on the Savior words to his disciples, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
