Even So, My Redeemer Lives

The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Deuteronomy 29:29 KJV

The Book of Job, one of the oldest Scriptures in the Bible, attempts an insightful perspective on why God allows terrible things to happen to virtuous individuals. Although this book allows you to see a different perspective from God's view of mankind, humanity's perspective tends to lean toward shortsightedness or lack of comprehension of the totality of what God sees. Nevertheless, the virtuous Job reaffirms his unwavering faith and trust in God, believing that God will deliver him, even if it happens after his death.

25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

Job 19:25-26.

Job's transformative perspective allows him to see beyond his current situation and envision himself standing before God. Can we approach our life situations with the same transformative perspective as Job, seeing beyond our present state to a time when we are in God's presence?

For this reason, Moses reminds us in Deuteronomy 29:29 that the secret things belong to Him while the revealed things should become our focus point. We should strive to focus on the revealed things, trusting that God will reveal the secret things to us at the right time. We must acknowledge that God is always with us and will provide us with the strength and guidance to overcome challenges. Like Job, remember your redeemer, Jesus, lives continually at the right side of God, the Father.

My Redeemer Lives

For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth
