Seek the Good in Others

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

I Corinthians 14:26

The enemy, Satan, wants to cease the expansion of the Kingdom and stop our ability to reach others. Yet, the Pandemic of 2020 caused many believers to rethink their delivery method. So, imagine during the early stages of Kingdom work; there were homes in Corinth where believers gathered instead of Church buildings. In these small groups, a sense of freedom emerged naturally through spiritual gifts. In other words, one believer may contribute by reading or singing a psalm, while another may offer a teaching word. Even another may pray in a tongue, accompanied by an interpretation, and another individual may receive a revelation – a message from God to uplift the group. In these small, home fellowship-type settings, it was the ideal way for the believers of that day to function and increase the Kingdom.

Fast forward to this post-pandemic era, after the world stopped all transactions to limit the spread of the Coronavirus. What lessons were gained by believers when mass gatherings in buildings increased the deadly Coronavirus transmission rather than furthering the Kingdom? Believers started using various social media platforms for the work of the Kingdom. While traditional in-person gatherings foster deep personal connections, these virtual platforms have proven highly effective in reaching a broader audience across geographical boundaries. The flexibility of online platforms allows believers to participate in fellowship from the convenience of their homes, like the early church in Corinth. So, combining in-person gatherings with an online platform produces a hybrid approach to Kingdom work while ensuring the continued expansion of the Kingdom in a rapidly changing world.

I highly recommend cultivating small group settings, even in virtual spaces, as it will serve advantageously and reminiscently of the early stages of Kingdom work. As you will remember, history often repeats itself.
