Worship Christ’s Majesty

Lesson Text: Hebrews 1:1-9

This passage of Scriptures in the book of Hebrews illuminates Jesus’ majestic attributes. During the holiday season, we need to remind ourselves that Jesus is the heir of all things. His divine inheritance makes Him the authority over the entire universe including Earth. In Deuteronomy 32, we tend overlook the results of the disbursement after Babel in which God placed the divided nations under divine beings.

Deuteronomy 32:8-9 MSG

When the High God gave the nations their stake, gave them their place on Earth, He put each of the peoples within boundaries under the care of divine guardians.

Lest we forget that God, through Jesus, created the world, emphasizing Jesus’ participation in creation itself. The conclusion we must draw from these Scriptures that if you are ever doubt Jesus’ roles for humanity in addition to His roles as King, Priest, and Prophet, please remember that His supremacy over divine beings, as demonstrated by His unique identity, gives Him the right to receive worship in totality.
