Prayer of Encouragement
Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication (ACTS)
Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, Romans 15:5
ADORATION
Dearest Heavenly Father, YOU are the One who hands out perseverance and encouragement. We recognize that YOUR love removes hopelessness while radiating YOUR light when darkness overshadows our lives. Encouragement is the core of who YOU are, yet we worship and praise YOU, for YOU are a God who saves the broken and mends the worn. Allow us to replicate YOUR love through the encouragement we give to one another. We will praise YOU through our acts of kindness. We honor YOU as we demonstrate perseverance to one another on a greater level than ever before. We recognize that only YOU are the great Encourager over us.
CONFESSION
Father enable me to become a better encourager. I confess that often, I follow the downward path of blaming and criticizing rather than the route of encouraging. Please forgive me for the selfishness that keeps me from encouraging others. Forgive me for following the path of complaining when life becomes challenging. Forgive me for failing to look into YOUR words for self-encouragement. Therefore, mold me to become that Encourager for my benefit and to benefit others for YOUR glory.
THANKSGIVING
Holy God, thank YOU for YOUR constant encouragement through the powerful truths found in YOUR Word. Thanks for renewing my spirit with hope and joy, especially when I am feeling down. Thank YOU that YOUR Word reminds me of who I am in YOU. I am an overcomer, and I have all the ingredients within self to fulfill YOUR purpose for my life. Thank YOU for the strength YOU supply through YOUR encouragement. YOU enable me to preserver without worries because YOU are the wind beneath my wings. I can fly above these petty problems because YOU are my source. Thanks the Source which continually supply of life to feed my soul and spirit.
SUPPLICATION
Now, LORD, I ask that YOU help me to hear YOU more fully, especially when I feel discouraged. I don’t want to become lost and restless to the point that I neglect to listen to YOUR voice. I realize that YOUR encouragement can only go so far when my ears are spiritual deafen. I recognize that if I don’t hear YOU, I will lack the preparedness to forge ahead with YOUR agenda as I experience life from YOUR perspective. Show me how to gain clarity in hearing YOUR voice. Help me tune out negative influences and critical voices that build barriers when my priority centers on HEARING YOUR voice through YOUR Word.
In Jesus’ name, I pray this prayer. Amen!
