A Transforming Stream
Ezekiel 47:1, 3-12
And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.
Ezekiel 47:9
Ezekiel continues to describe his vision of a river flowing from beneath the temple's threshold. As this river flows, it brings healing and restoration to the land, particularly the Dead Sea. Known for its inability to support life, the Dead Sea will transform into a thriving body of water filled with life.
This vision symbolizes the transformative power of God's blessings on His people and the land. It shows that we serve a God who always has a plan for us. Even while Ezekiel is in captivity, God reveals a restoration plan. This vision is a powerful reminder of God’s ability to transform our circumstances, no matter how bleak.
Remember, the only certainty in life is uncertainty. No matter how difficult things become, they will eventually change. Likewise, no matter how great things are, challenges will arise. This present life is inherently uncertain, yet, God’s plan includes restoration that brings us back into fellowship with Him, as demonstrated before the fall in Eden. So, don’t dwell on the uncertainties in life but on the fact that God has a restoration plan.
